Fireplace Wall Reimagined

The homeowners loved the idea of a fireplace but never felt comfortable using the existing unvented gas unit. At the same time, they were looking for additional storage and a more integrated solution for their television, creating an opportunity to rethink the entire focal wall of the living room.

Rather than eliminating the fireplace altogether, we replaced it with a modern electric model that continues to anchor the space while providing the warmth and ambiance the homeowners wanted during the colder months. Throughout the design process, photorealistic renderings were used to explore options, refine details, and ensure confidence in the final direction before construction began.

To balance customization with efficiency, the project incorporated select prefabricated shelving and mantel components, which were then unified through custom trim work and crown moulding. The result is a cohesive built-in that feels purposefully designed for the home, providing improved storage, a cleaner television installation, and a welcoming centerpiece for everyday living.
