Custom built fireplace surround w/ Metal Base

When a townhome's construction made a traditional gas or wood-burning fireplace impractical, the homeowner sought an alternative that would still serve as a striking centerpiece for their living room.

The solution was a custom-designed fireplace surround and base built around a modern electric fireplace. Drawing inspiration from the room's existing furnishings, the design paired black steel with warm wood tones to create a clean, contemporary aesthetic.

To ensure every detail was right before construction began, the project was first developed as a photorealistic 3D rendering, allowing the homeowner to visualize the finished piece and collaborate on refinements. Following approval, the design was fabricated and installed, transforming a blank wall into a custom architectural feature and gathering space for the home.
