Architectural Front Entry Transformation
Project type
Home Renovation
Date
July 2026
Location
Interlaken, NJ
This project began with a simple goal: create a covered entry that looked as though it had always been part of the home. Rather than adding a standard stock awning, we designed a custom gabled canopy that matched the home's existing architecture while providing meaningful weather protection at the front entrance.
Every proportion—from the roof pitch and column spacing to the trim profiles and fascia depth—was carefully developed through 3D modeling before construction began, allowing the homeowners to preview the design and refine details before a single board was cut.
The structure features custom PVC trim, wrapped columns, and a standing seam metal roof that complements the home's existing materials while introducing a durable architectural accent. The finished canopy not only improves protection from the elements but also creates a stronger focal point for the front elevation, giving the entrance a sense of permanence and welcoming character.
