Sculpted Walnut Vessel Sink

This project began as an exploration of what's possible when traditional woodworking meets digital fabrication. Starting with a solid block of laminated walnut, I designed a flowing sink basin in CAD before machining the form on a computer-controlled four-axis CNC router.

After carving, the sink was carefully hand-finished and sealed with a specialty waterproof coating sourced from the UK. The finish preserves the natural warmth and beauty of the wood while providing years of water resistance before requiring a simple maintenance coat.

The result is a fully functional vanity sink that blurs the line between furniture, sculpture, and everyday utility.
